Heli Jürgenson has been the conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Choir since 2019. She studied choral conducting at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, teaching choir conducting at the former since 1992.
Heli has received the annual award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s Folk Culture Foundation three times (2002, 2017, 2025) and the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s main award for her role as the chief conductor of the XII Youth Song Festival "Mina jään" (2018). She was awarded the Gustav Ernesaks Foundation's main scholarship for choral music (2013), and in 2013 and 2025, the Estonian Choral Association named her Choral Conductor of the Year.
At the 2019 Jubilee Song Festival, Heli served as a conductor for mixed choirs and selected mixed choirs. Heli Jürgenson is an honorary member of the Estonian Choral Conductors' Association and a board member of the Estonian Choral Association.
In 2020, Heli Jürgenson was awarded the Order of the White Star, 4th class.
Heli was the artistic director of the 2025 XXVIII Song Festival "Iseoma" and was named Person of the Year by the newspaper Postimees in 2025.
